Daily Duties at Harris Corporation:

What they like about Harris Corporation:

A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.

Update for anyone who's looking...

Well, I found a job about three weeks ago. The pay isn't enough, but it's something, and at least I'm no longer a burden on the State. At least for now. The job itself requires organization skills, and lots of pointing and clicking with a mouse. Data entry. Almost exactly what I was looking for. I say almost exactly because I've been getting the feeling that my position is rather expendable and the company almost encourages high turn over. I have a lot more skills than what I'm utilizing, it's the trying to convince others that I have them that's the difficult part. I'm sick of the hoop jumping that I have to go through everytime that I fill out an online application or send in a resume, just to have the employer tell me that I'm "overqualified".

I could go on for hours about this topic, but for right now, I'll leave it at: Employed and still looking. I'm looking to network. If anyone is out there, please contact me.
