Daily Duties at St. Mary Corwin Hospital:
Prepared surgery rooms before surgeries, turned over operating room after surgery, and assisted Surgical Technologist and Surgeons during surgeries. Transported patients to surgery and recovery room. Lifted patient and positioned them for surgery. Handled endoscopic equipment during endoscopic procedures. Ensured that all equipment is functioned properly and restocked the room with supplies. Used critical thinking to anticipate the needs of surgical teams and performed other duties and responsibilities as required. Assisted the doctors, nurses, and other operating room workers. Helped prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and disinfecting the intended areas of operation. Held retractors, cut sutures, and helped count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments. Prepared, cared for, and disposed of specimens taken for laboratory analysis and helped apply dressings.
