Daily Duties at Universal Studios, Inc:

• Managed day-to-day activities for nearly 200 tours per day on staggered work shifts. Oversaw all scheduling and coordination of drivers, tour guides and tour assistants, working effectively with Teamsters Union members under rigorous guidelines. Oversaw 5 Supervisors and up to 20 Team Leaders. Developed daily tram routes based on studio production schedules, meetings, etc. • Formulated department policy with regard to employees and tour duties and disseminated information in time-critical fashion. Trained all staff. • Instituted daily briefings to upwards of 60 staff each day leading over 3,500 visitors through the maze of Universal studios on the tram tour; increased efficiency and team organization through presentation of facts, figures, and details of daily route changes and special information. • Implemented successful employee incentive “Studio Tours Stars” program to increase positive customer contact Studio Tour Assistants. Performed research in other organizations before developing plan and implemented picture-taking for all Super Stars seen smiling at customers and going out of their way to increase customer satisfaction. • Revised Employee of the Month program to incorporate peer voting and full recognition of winners. Managed up to 20 special tours and programs each year and led tours in early years. • Represented department on company-wide Safety Committee and managed all accident investigations, discovering root causes and filing appropriate reports. Attended Accident Review Board to present results of investigations. Handled all matters related to safety, including accidents, spills and tram repairs, ensuring rapid response and quick, safe return to service.
