Daily Duties at Fischer & Porter Co. (Now Abb):
I started out as a Billing Clerk & moved into the Billing Lead Person position for fifteen years. I distributed the daily work load, trained new personnel, met monthly quota's and deadlines, was a problem solver and worked well under pressure. I then was made Lead Person over the Order Entry Dept. basically doing the same functions. I woked in Export Shipping and Billing as a Documentation Clerk to get shipments out of the country. I was then asked to start a Telemarketing Dept. following up leads from trade shows and improving sales force efficiency. I was then transferred to St. Petersburg, FL to start up and run their Inside Sales Dept. I prepared proposals & quotations, resolved customer problems, took care of repair services and supported Outside Sales personnel. The company was sold and Field offices were closed and the main plant in PA was downsized.
