Daily Duties at Centennial Medical Center:
• Prepared and complied records on nursing unit of hospital. • Recorded name of patient, address and name of attending physician to prepare medical records of new patients. • Kept file of medical records on patients in unit. • Requisitioned supplies designated by nursing staff. • Answered telephone and intercom calls. • Provided information and relayed messages to patients and medical staff. • Directed visitors to patients' rooms. • Compiled census of patients. • Transported patients in wheelchair to locations within the facility. • Keyed patient information into the computer. • Responsible for making charts for patients scheduled the following day. • Responsible for admitting babies correctly and verifying that no information was skipped and was correct. • Recorded information, such as physicians' orders and instructions, dietary requirements and medication information, on patient's charts and medical records.
