Daily Duties at Goodwill Easter Seals:

· Working with the State of Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission to find employment to their participants with disabilities. · Training participants with visual impairment or no vision with computer programs such as JAWS software to help them become productive and independent in the society. · Job Developing for positions for our participants and present them with opportunities that they can qualify placement. · Evaluate workspace to determine potential hazards and make recommendation to the company, which could potentially save the company thousands of dollars in worker's compensation. · Developed relationships with area employers to open avenues for our services and also to be able to provide well-qualified visually impaired candidates opportunities otherwise unavailable to them without proper representation. · Assessing participant’s skills prior to placement through Community Based Work Assessment program. Responsible for the participant’s Skills assessment and to be able to place the participant to an employment that matches their skills and abilities. · Conditioning participants to undergo any testing and interviews prior to placement. Also, develop a clear and concise resume for participants seeking employment.
