Daily Duties at Cityof Chicago Department Of B.I.S.:
? LAN Administrator for a Token Ring environment supporting Mayor's Office and B.I.S. Department System/Programming Division with 100+ users by deploying Network Nodes and Printers ? Meeting with City Departmental representatives to determine hardware/software applications best suitable for their Departmental business objectives ? Developing, testing and documenting programs for end-user applications and training users in the programs' operation ? Scheduling and teaching beginning, intermediate and advanced half day PC and Mainframe application courses and hosting one-on-one weekly workshops for all City Department Employees ? Designing and developing beginning courses for PC applications, creating course handouts and developing supporting materials such as overheads and classroom exercises ? Creating certificates, forms and slide show presentations for City Departments ? Providing Help Desk assistance to users by trouble shooting and correcting software/hardware malfunctions and making modifications to existing systems to 50 City Department’s computer users ? Setting up and deploying PC Equipment for all City Departments
