Daily Duties at City Of Chicago Dept Of Housing & Water:
? LAN Administrator for Ethernet/NT environments with 250+ Department of Housing users ? LAN Administrator for Token Ring/Ethernet/NT environments with 350+ Dept. of Water users ? Creating Mainframe connections, Network ID’s, Internet, Intranet and E-mail accounts, setting up and deploying Network Nodes, Printers, software applications to users and developing applications requested by end-users ? Suggested/evaluated vendor forwarded hardware and software products for efficiency and cost saving features suitable to business objectives ? Co-Supervising and assigning PC deployment and other related IT Projects to IT Staff and Student Interns ? Creating equipment/software installation manuals for IT Staff as defined by City-Wide Departmental standards ? Providing Help Desk assistance to users by trouble shooting and correcting software/hardware malfunctions, making modifications to existing systems and updating the Dept. of Housing Intranet Web-site ? Attended bimonthly meetings with B.I.S Department and the other 50 City Department Information Technology Strategy Committee Coordinators
