Daily Duties at Convergys Hr Management:

Became a full-time employee of Convergys Employee Care (now HR Management) to pursue leadership opportunities that were not available to me as a contractor. Have worked in many capacities, including Research & Development, consulting, development, team lead, product management, and internal liaison. Have experienced significant personal and professional growth. Have leveraged my technical, marketing, and business skills to achieve success on multiple levels. Current work includes leading a software team in the creation of Java, C++, and Unix-based call center products. These products help transform our business and give us new ways to reach customers. Technologies include: Java, PHP, Asterisk, Oracle, MySQL, Jabber, Linux, shell scripting, Visual C++. * Manage distributed staff using various collaboration tools (instant messaging, software defect tracking, etc). * Establish growth and development goals for team members and provide constructive feedback on progress. * Conduct necessary design/work/review sessions with developers, QA staff, and support personnel. * Write internal marketing and technical literature to support products. * Give product and technology demonstrations as needed * Determine scope, complexity, and cost of change requests. * Act as liaison to our customers. * Report status of projects to leadership. * Code in multiple languages and environments
