Playing primary role in the delivery of desktop and communications system support for a department with more than 8,000 personnel. Provide high-level technical expertise to identify and resolve a broad range of hardware, software, and network security issues, maintaining the integrity and responsiveness of the department’s business-critical LAN and wireless systems. Interface directly with customers at the highest organizational levels, and deliver individualized training to end-users with a wide variety of technical skill levels. Served as a technical liaison to Orange County Fire-Rescue and partnered with key business stakeholders to identify emerging business requirements and IT enabled operational efficiencies. Key Achievements: • Slashed downtime and adverse effects for customers/associates, resolving desktop/enterprise support issues after assessing severity and negotiating business priority. • Provided crucial technical support to the Emergency Operations Center during the 2004 Florida hurricane season; ensured on time and on-target delivery of critical information management resources during 4 hurricanes in an 8-week period. • Installed leading-edge communications technologies in Orange County Fire-Rescue vehicles that proved invaluable to senior leaders during Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts in Mississippi. • Championed implementation of innovative solutions to boost system efficiency and security; dedication and achievements recognized through receipt of numerous awards and citations.
