Daily Duties at National Conference Of State Legislatures:

NCSL Learn, Work and Earn Project (June 1999 – Nov. 2001) * Prepared materials and presentations, and presented at meetings with state legislators, legislative staff, governor’s office staff and state agency officials. * Aided in the planning of programs and organized background materials for research assignments, meetings, conferences and technical assistance projects. * Responded to information requests from state legislators and conducted the necessary research to fulfill such requests on issues related to afterschool programs and workforce and youth development. NCSL Agriculture and International Trade Committee (Oct. 1999 – Nov. 2001) * Participated in lobbying activities directed towards Congress and the Administration to further NCSL's state-federal policy positions. * Co-authored and researched content for a LegisBrief entitled “International Trade of New Agricultural Products From Biotechnology.” * Wrote columns for the “NCSL Agriculture and Trade Advisor,” a monthly newsletter distributed to legislators, legislative staff and other interested organizations.
