* Managed state and federal government affairs activities for the Executive’s Office and Executive Departments, including developing legislative agendas, monitoring priority legislation, securing and providing committee testimony and lobbying key legislators. * Analyzed, recommended and implemented solutions to a wide range of complex policy issues on behalf of the County Executive, including efforts to locate a four-year polytechnic university in Snohomish County and planning for the Regional Transportation Investment District/Sound Transit joint transportation improvement package in 2007. * Represented the County Executive at community meetings and legislative hearings, as well as multiple committees, task forces and other forums. * Developed and implemented communications strategies on complex and sensitive issues targeting constituents, staff and other organizations. * Acted as media liaison and spokesperson for the County Executive when needed. * Created reports, brochures, email newsletters, press releases, talking points, speeches and other communications materials for a variety of topics in a convincing and easy to understand manner.
