Daily Duties at Usaf, Ad, Afres, Az Ang:

From 04/1966 to 08/1966, I was in Training, From 08/1966 to 06/1973, I was a Medical Technician. Responsibilities ranged from Signing in patients, to triaging & treating Active Duty Sick Call for minor problems, to suturing and other minor procedures in an ED setting. I spent 1 Year in Vietnam, where my duties included Treating injured patients with critical injuries under the guidance of a Physician. This included evaluation, placement of IV's, airway management including chest tube placement if indicated. After Medical School graduation in 1976, I did a 3 year Family Practice Residency at USAF Medical Center Scott, Scott AFB, IL. During the second half of my second year in residency, I moonlighted on weekends in various ED'a in the area around Scott AFB. After my residency, I was assigned to Luke AFB, AZ where I worked in Family Practice with outpatient and inpatient care. In 09/79 I attended the Aerospace Primary Course, and in 06/1981 I transferred to the Aerospace Medicine Clinic and Cared for Flying Personnel and their Families. During this time I continued to moonlight in Emergency Medicine. In 06/1982, I left Active Duty and transferred to The Phoenix Air National Guard as a Flight Surgeon. I attained the rating of Chief Flight Surgeon in 1993, and was Clinic Commander from 11/1994 to 11/1997, when I retired from the ANG
