Daily Duties at Medical University Hospital:
Registered Nurse position for Neurosurgery/Neurology Medical-Surgical floor. Duties include continuous assessment of patients with neurotrauma, brain surgery, brain tumors, strokes, and neurological disorders. Also includes the care of post-operative Step Down patients, assessment and maintenance of lumbar and externalized ventricular drains, pain management, neurological assessments, and monitoring of patients with multiple disease processes. Also includes charge nurse duties for a 26-bed unit, as well as precepting new nurses, nurse externs, and students.
