• Oversee daily tasks of three departments and ensure schedule is continuing on course • Coordinate book editing, production, and marketing schedules. • Responsible for maintaining internal communication via various software packages, ensuring both are accurate and reflect reality. • Edit incoming manuscripts, serving as developmental editor, copy editor, or proofreader as required. • Coordinate off-site freelancers and manufacturers to ensure work proceeds as required to meet sales and marketing goals. • In first nine months, a two-season backlog of overdue books was eliminated, all current projects were brought onto schedule, and for the first time in the company's history, began planning for two years ahead. • Eliminated "last-minute" approach to work. • Gaining experience as developmental and acquisitions editor, pursuing potential authors and working directly with current authors to ensure their needs and the company's are met.
