Daily Duties at Mechanical Products & Systems, Inc:
• A/R, A/P, Bank Reconciliation, Month-end close, Journal entries, Financial statement preparation & reporting, variance analysis., Sales Commissions • Multi-state sales and use tax preparation &reporting • Fixed Assets and Depreciation Schedules • Establish customer credit lines and set up credit accounts with vendors • Researched and recommended change for local and long distance phone service saving the organization 30% a month in telephone expenses • Negotiated DSL Service contract. • Researched and recommended internal phone system upgrade. This purchased saved the organization over $20 thousand dollars in wages and benefits expenses. • Took on role of Office Manager/Accountant in November 2001. Handle correspondence: respond to those needing written or verbal communication, compose letters, maintain office equipment and any warranty issues or other challenges that arise. Schedule appointments and meetings for president, answer phones, various tasks as necessary.
