The aim of this venture company was to establish a cloning/screening platform for antibiotic production pathways from environmental DNA libraries. My task was to conduct several research projects including: (1) development of a non-radioactive screening method for antibiotic producing genes from environmental DNA libraries, (2) enrichment of DNA libraries using biotin-labeled PCR probes and RecA protein capturing system.
