Daily Duties at Fcc:
Industry Compliance Specialist—Mass Media Bureau Performed special analysis, evaluation and research in the disposition of complaints, comments and inquiries related to broadcasting. Analyzed and evaluated complaints or inquiries relative to factual and regulatory information collected and determined what action is appropriate. Explained and interpreted the Communications Act provisions, Commission's Rules, and policies applicable to the general public by telephone or in writing. Prepared letters of inquiry to licensees as well as letters of admonition and Notices of Apparent Liability to licensees for violations of the Commission's Rules and Regulations. Initiated and drafted Bureau information publications or changes in current publications to reflect new court or Commission decisions and new or amended laws or rules. Prepared non-routine technical reports and correspondence as well as analytical and evaluative reports.
