Daily Duties at Ntt/Verio:
Monitored, trouble shot and performed maintenance on international Tier 1 infrastructure circuits from T-1 to OC-192 Monitored and trouble shot Mail, News and DNS Server issues and maintenance Assisted in implementing IPV4/IPV6 dual stack worldwide network Experience working with all Cisco, Juniper and Foundry routers and switches Experience working with Sun, Windows, UNIX and Mac workstations Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Office for tracking and creating technical notes and procedures Notified and assisted in correcting errors on all circuits and systems with multiple vendors and Telco’s Dropped resolution times from 2 days to 2 hours on all trouble tickets Escalated needed issues to Engineers, Telco’s, or Equipment Vendors *A side note: I actually helped start a company in 1994 that was merged with Verio. Helping with everything from Sales, construction of multiple POPs, dog and pony shows, customer service, to aiding the CEO of the company. Being one of the first ISP’s in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, a lot of leading edge technology was placed in front of me in which I aided in creating a now Fortune 500 company.
