Daily Duties at Madigan Army Medical Center:

Arranged in-patient and Ambulatory Record Enhanced (ARE) records in proper order to meet the requirements of governing Army regulations. Reviewed records of discharge patients for presence of required forms and completeness of data required on each patient. Checked forms for required dictation and accuracy; notified provider upon determination of undictated report and followed up to completion, obtains required Pathology reports if not in chart. Utilizes the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and/or Clinical Information Systems (CIS) also utilizes Essentris or other automation available to enter patient data, print laboratory and radiology reports and/or automated records documents. Ran and distributed daily and weekly report of incomplete records by individual provider. Utilized record tracking, deficiency and delinquency system for deficiency completion and record location. Experienced in Medical Terminology, usages and abbreviations. Experience in utilizing the Defense enrollment eligibility reporting system(DEERS). Issues temporary authorization for medical treatment to eligible patients without proper ID Cards. Enters pertinent information such as name, social security number, and diagnosis onto the Admission and Coding information form. Enters the appropriate Clinical Service Code on each admission.
