Accomplished department and organization mission of “working together to meet or exceed customer expectations” by providing exceptional Microsoft SQL Server database administration of over 127 instances and over 2700 databases along with a team of six other DBAs. Confirmed database requirements by conferring with clients, studying operations and objectives, integrating enterprise requirements, and applying database concepts and functional capabilities. Maintained design structure by directing and implementing SQL standards and guidelines. Completed platform upgrades and migrations by issuing instructions, monitoring performance, and coordinating actions. Key Projects and Achievements: ? Worked on a cross-functional team to convert the Resumix HR Application from SQL 6.5 and 7.0 to SQL 7.0 and 2000. Provided client with increased functionality and ease of use while completing project on time and within budget. ? Independently migrated 130 CIMS databases from legacy hardware to easier, more robust hardware; completed project within 3½ weeks. ? Assumed Team Leader role during Team Leader’s lengthy absence to ensure continued operational efficiency. ? Played an integral role in the ISO initiative serving as subject matter expert for issue management and change management. Collaborated with the Process Team and Internal Auditing team to ensure a seamless certification process. ? Served as Internal Auditor in addition to normal Senior Database Administrator duties to ensure high quality standards.
