Daily Duties at International Bank Of Commerce:

I was hired by the International Bank of Commerce (IBC Bank) as the sole PC Technician for the expanding South Texas market. Using a ticketing system, I would assist bank employees, at all levels, both remotely and in-person, with any problems they might have with technology ranging from: software, IP phones, networking, printers, scanners, web cams, signature pads, etc. As an analyst, based on my assessment of each branch, I would make recommendations on upgrades to the bank’s technology. It was my responsibility to carry out any physical changes to the bank’s hardware during maintenance or upgrades. However, as this was a completely new post, I first accepted the challenge of building the position entirely from the ground up. My many accomplishments during my time at IBC Bank include:  After assessing the needs of each branch, I built a comprehensive inventory of spare hardware  Using MS Access 2003, I created and maintained an electronic database for keeping track of the deployed hardware  I developed a network of contacts including suppliers, consultants, and other technicians  I constructed a filing system for keeping track of receipts, manuals, troubleshooting notes, and work orders  I built an extensive collection of hard drive images for employee workstations including PC images for: tellers, sales assistants, supervisors, accountants, etc.  I developed an easy method for quickly imaging and deploying large batches of PCs  I assisted with the corporate-wide Microsoft Office 2007 rollout onto hundreds of PCs  With help from technicians in other markets, I was a major contributor in the market wide overhaul of the bank’s computer hardware, replacing dozens of PCs, monitors, printers, scanners, power supplies, and fax machines at all the branches in South Texas  After proving to be so valuable in the Corpus Christi market, my jurisdiction expanded to eventually include every branch along the Texas Gulf Coast from Corpus Christi to just shy of Houston (a dozen banks total)
