Daily Duties at Medical College Of Wisconsin:
Responsible for the academic, clinical and surgical schedule of internationally known pediatric orthopedic surgeon serving Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and community. • Began as an administrative assistant; promoted to senior administrative assistant in 1992. • Proofreading manuscript submissions for publication • Scheduled and communicated with surgical patients’ families. • Worked as a team with surgical and clinical staff for patients’ benefit • Worked with insurance companies and MCW billing office for patient coverage • Coordinated symposiums sponsored by pediatric orthopaedic surgeons (including one international scoliosis event) • Teamed with Medical College of Wisconsin, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin to support objectives and goals of pediatric orthopaedic surgery, including breaking through a firewall in the Children’s Hospital of WI computer systems so MCW pediatric sections could share information with CHW.
