What they like about Climber.Com:
You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.

Climber.com Relaunches New Design
We are very pleased to announce the new version of the site with much better navigation. We analyzed the use of our members and found that they were missing a lot of the features of the site. Adding left hand navigation allows members to get to the data they need much faster. Please let us know how you like it.
Cheers,
Mike
What is the purpose of the Joblog?
When we created the joblog we had two ideas in mind. The first is that the actual daily application of ones skills on a daily basis often never make the resume. Also people rarely keep their resume up to date. The joblog is a simple way to take keep track of the progress of ones career.
The second reason we created was for recruiters who are interested in finding candidates who have in the past worked applied the skills that they are looking for today. As an example, in the tech world knowledge of SAP is very desirable. However, it is a large application with many specific modules. Finding candidates who have depth in a specific SAP module is very difficult due to the fact that this information often is left off the resume. The Joblog helps solve this problem by making this information searchable.
Recruiters who use Climber.com can search for specific task related information and find great candidates!
Cheers,
Mike
How often should I post to my Joblog?
This is a question that we seen to get a lot. While there is no limit on how often one should post, we recommend a weekly post. Doing so as a way to reflect on the prior week while it is still fresh in your mind. What a week!
This week we launched a new version of our climber.com site and decided to rebrand RecruiterRockstar to Climber.com Catalyst. The rebrand was due to the fact that there was a disconnect between our recruiter users and our Climber.com users. We continue to focus on bringing cutting edge products to both Climbers and our Recruiter Users. Next week we will be launching our first Featured Company Microsite. This is a huge deal for our corporate clients and enables our users to get a better picture of our Corporate Partners.
Next week we will be adding some new features to our Joblog product!
Stay tuned,
Mike
People Behind the Postings
When we created Climber.com we wanted to do a better job aligning candidates with companies. We created an assessment which helps both the Climber and the Company determine if their goals match. This was an improvement over the current marketplace. When we added the career networking piece to the website we took the next logical step. Putting the people behind the job postings in plain view. Soon you will see another change that enables Climbers to interact more directly with recruiters from great companies!
Cheers,
Mike
