Daily Duties at The News Times:

As a reporter, I went to activities, events, meetings and other places to interview people and gather information. Then I wrote stories for daily publication in the newspaper and for the newspaper's Web site with topics ranging from government, crime, business, education, the environment to people features. I answered phones and took messages as well as answered phone calls and emails from the public asking questions about issues, articles and events. I proofread and did some editing of stories. I took some photographs for publication.
