Responsibilities included assisting the Regional Vice-President and Regional Medical Director by providing administrative support for Tennessee prison medical units. ♦ Entered biweekly employee payroll, monthly independent contractor payroll, monthly medical stipends and all changes into the payroll system meeting deadlines and ensuring timely and accurate pay ♦ Managed independent contractor credential files maintaining compliance with national requirements ♦ Purchased medical supplies for individual prison inmates as authorized by Medical Director ♦ Planned state-wide provider meetings including venue, hotel and caterer selection, sending invitations and receiving RSVPs, A/V equipment rental and preparation of meeting materials resulting in positive attendee feedback ♦ Prepared and distributed minutes for monthly teleconferences and the TDOC state-wide quality control meetings ensuring accurate documentation of proceedings ♦ Stamped and coded invoices contributing to timely payments and maintaining positive vendor relationships ♦ Distributed mail, answered telephones, maintained confidential medical files and ordered office supplies ensuring smooth office operations
