Daily Duties at Comirb:
This position provides oversight for the regulation of clinical trial protocols involving human subjects. This position serves as an information resource to faculty and staff of the Federal, State, and University of Colorado rules, regulations, and policies regarding the approval of research with humans. Duties include: interacting with investigators to ensure appropriate protocol submissions; serves as liaison between investigative teams and Institutional Review Board (IRB) Committee members, assigns research protocols to reviewers; determines special needs of protocols; monitors files for accuracy and completeness; analyzes current policies and procedures and makes recommendations for change when necessary. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance of rules, regulations, and policies. This position provides ongoing mentoring of Administrative Assistants in the IRB Panel functions.
