Paralegal - Gather and research data, such as laws, decisions, legal articles, codes, and other documents. Prepare legal documents including briefs, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements. Prepare affidavits and other documents, maintain document files, and file pleadings with court clerks. Arbitrate disputes between parties in divorce settlements and real estate closings. Arrange for witnesses to testify at a hearing or trial. Direct and coordinate law office activities, including the delivery of subpoenas. Keep and monitors legal volumes to ensure that a law library is up-to-date. Keep track of attorney time and bill accordingly.
