Daily Duties at Heidt & Associates, Inc.:
Provide high-level administrative support to Executive Vice President of leading engineering firm of civil engineering products and solutions to permitting for large housing developments in the state of Florida. Perform a variety of key permitting functions, with Southwest Florida Water Management District, (SWFWMD) and Florida Department of Transportation, (FDOT), addressing inquiries of current and potential land development, communicating with Land-developer, legal department regarding court recorded documents, and maintaining approved permit database. Collaborate with Engineers to oversee project management and distribution of submittals to SWFWMD and FDOT. Developed spreadsheets to improve and inform quality and risk-assessment initiatives. Prepare meeting agendas and carefully monitor all action items. Reduced company expenses by establishing communication with environmental scientist, project manager and civil design engineer in first six months. Established relationships with SWFWMD and FDOT in the permitting negotiation process to become cost-effective. Coordinated and hosted successful client/engineer seminars, creating invitations and promotional materials, and booking venues.
