General Crew / Merchandise Team Leader Warehouse: • Operated forklift, picked orders, stocked bins with material. Other general warehouse duties. Shipping: • Prepared bulk shipments by cutting wood supports using compound saw, banding and shrink wrapping for shipment. Load shipment with forklift on side load trailer, balance and secure load. Quality Assurance: • Used self-taught product knowledge of all molding profiles, stock numbers, locations and quantities to verify order accuracy. Inspected banded product for structural integrity. Created a product data sheet and location map to assist order pickers with return to vender shipments restock, and Quality Assurance department overages, missing items, and count verification. Implemented request form for field Rep’s with clarification of repairs and items requested, also to track Rep’s maintenance log. Merchandiser/ Team Leader: • Traveled to new Home Depot setup locations in the tri state area. Setup of new stores according to market plan-o-grams. Traveled to existing stores to perform resets, repairs, and general preventive maintenance. Created a product number conversion sheet for all markets. Filled sales support orders for sample rings, designed and assembled presentation boards. Cleaned and organized merchandiser’s office/storage area by building sample racks, and storage shelving for tools, sample cuts, and hardware supplies. Setup safe work zones for all power tools. Built saw guides and templates to assist in difficult and precision cuts. Placed recommendations for equipment to help cut down on man hours and waste. • Participated on company safety committee. • Held position as Shop Steward
