Daily Duties at American Home Patient:
Delivery Driver / Service Technician • Delivery and setup of durable medical equipment and supplies to patient’s home or care facility. • Trained and educated patient or care givers in the safe and proper use of equipment and supplies, and as to any policy changes. Make visual inspection, and record assessment of patient’s environment and capabilities with equipment and supplies to insure patient’s safety and well-being. • Maintain accurate completion of all forms and documents required by state and government regulations, and American HomePatient policy and procedures. • Address and answer patient’s questions and concerns, or troubleshoot at patient’s home, the retail office, or over the telephone. • Available to perform “on-call” duties on one 24/7 per month basis. • Perform other general warehouse and vehicle maintenance duties, clean, sterilize, and test equipment. Update equipment files. • Studied manufacture’s manuals to better familiarize and understand equipment function and diagnosis. • Organized patient concentrator list to reflect current contact numbers, diagnosis, and prescription. • Mapped all patient’s locations via Microsoft’s Streets & Trips software. • Recognized delivery vehicle’s supply shelves to maximize equipment storage.
