Daily Duties at Norfolk State University:

Initially hired to supervise a team of two Transfer Credit/Graduation Audit Team members. I also created database queries using Datatel Colleague. I was quickly promoted to Assistant Registrar within three months of initial hire in order to streamline graduation processes and increase the efficiency of the Office of the Registrar. I effectively resolved escalated customer situations and was responsible for communications generating from the Office of the Registrar. I then transitioned to a new department to help develop the university’s eLearning Student Support Program. I was responsible for all office management and customer service functions for the Office of eLearning and advised students seeking online education.

What they like about Norfolk State University:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
