Daily Duties at Butte County Probation Department:
Support 120 users at the Butte County Probation Department and Juvenile Hall. Provide training and assistance with office applications (e.g. MS Office), law-enforcement applications in an Active Directory environment. Maintain computer hardware and OS (2000/XP/Server); troubleshoot network cabling and patch panels; troubleshoot network cabling and connectivity problems( TCP/IP); maintain user and hardware entries in Active Directory. Perform daily backups of network data. Collaborate with technical staff in other county departments, produce and maintain support documentation. Researched and documented procedure to port jail security software from one hardware platform to another in case of equipment failure.
