Daily Duties at Advanced Imaging Systems:

• Having a lead position which allowed me to work directly with hospital staff and the Medical Records Director in addition to being the liaison between the hospital and AIS. • Filling medical records requests in accordance with HIPAA law. Acquiring records via fax, mail, and in person. • Working with HIPAA law on a daily basis including compiling training manuals and conducting training sessions for the other ROI employees. • Working direct with patients, attorneys, insurers, government, and internal personnel including the Director of Medical Records and the hospitals Compliance department. • Retrieving records included; following up with doctors to ensure all documents are signed off on, tracking and locating records from various departments in the hospital, and ordering purged records from the off site storage location for Presbyterian Hospital. • Utilizing several applications to retrieve records including; Softmed, Invision, MRO (Medical Records Online), Papervision, GE QS System, and T-System. • Attending several HIPAA training seminars to which I received a certificate of completion.
