Daily Duties at Wal Mart:

Sales Manager, 2 years; Asst. Manager/Support Manager, 5 years; and Dept. Manager, 5 years. Areas of responsibility include developed and maintained interview questions. Conducted interviews. Developed, planned, and implemented new procedures, and organizational changes. Analyzing sales from previous day, and touring departments, making daily priority notes and evaluating the zone from the night before. Give priority notes and direction of merchandisers and sales associates. Manage outside vendors on regular and promotional buys and setting up displays. Having daily management meetings. Executive profit worksheets, which include markdowns at cost, net profits, and inventory turns. Customer Service Manager ensuing quick in, quick out for the customer. Support Manager opening and closing store. Supervising night receiving, Sales Manager of dairy products, food, paper goods, and cleaning chemicals Department Manager – Deli Manager, Frozen Foods, and Produce, Inventory Control Specialist Lead, and Support Manager Mentor of the Year – 2005 Areas of responsibility ensure the maintenance of accurate records of production, shrink, sales, and performing cost inventory monthly. Maintaining effective work schedule to meet production and customer service standards. Training new department managers on perpetual inventory, ordering (seasonal and non-seasonal merchandise), controlling freight flow by monitoring stock and order when needed, how to correctly merchandise product. Took the Deli and Produce Departments from shrinking and poor quality departments to profitable and high quality departments within one month. Then trained associates to do the same. We received many customer comments after this was implemented that the department’s quality had greatly improved and many other duties. Educational Classes: Walton Food Institute – 1998; Quality Awareness Certificate 1998; Field Training Customer Service – 1998; Leadership Foundation – 1998; Customer Service Scheduling – 1999; Managing Profit – 1999; Rising Star Train the Trainer – 1999.
