Public Affairs Specialist: Responsibilities included, managing and developing the daily operations of public affairs program; ensuring conformance to institutional and regulatory established standards and effective patient care; including interactions with various organizations, fostering and promoting program development through web material, print and electronic media; specific to the following: • Providing administrative assistance to departmental staff within assigned program areas to support the accomplishment of program objectives; developing, coordinating and advising staff regarding program policy. • Planning, coordinating, and administering activities of assigned programs to include developing, implementing, and supervising related procedures, processes, services and systems; training employees in proper methods and procedures ensuring correctness of work. • Developing, planning, coordinating and implementing activities including, seminars, conferences, workshops, short courses, public events and other related programs; developing and coordinating new ideas and concepts for program themes, materials and resources, expanding or replacing existing program components. • Monitoring and evaluating program effectiveness, investigating trends, and recommending and implementing modifications improving program effectiveness. • Coordinating and/or participating in public relations activities; preparing and supervising the production of brochures, bulletins, newsletters and other promotional materials and/or publications, preparing press releases, designing ads and fliers, and responding to inquiries; developing plans and scheduling for release of publicity materials. • Representing assigned programs on behalf of the Facility director and the public; member of various committees and professional meetings.
