Daily Duties at Orleans Parish Civil And Criminal District Courts:

• Designed, implemented and administered a Wide Area Network using TCP/IP. This WAN, using MS SQL Server’s data replication tools, supports both the Orleans Parish Civil District and Criminal District Courts and allows the Jury Management Departments to select and process approximately 40,000 jurors annually. • Responsible for managing all Data Center operations including servers, desktops and mini-mainframe computers, and the purchasing and maintenance of all software, hardware, supplies and vendor contracts. • Project manager for Year 2000 solutions including the implementation of proprietary program changes to the courts’ case management software and the testing of Wang VS 8400 mini-mainframes, servers and desktop computers and all software for Y2K readiness. • Trained and managed a technical support staff serving over 300 end-users. Problem resolutions were required for printing, network, hardware and software issues, as well as Wang VS mainframe issues. • Designed, implemented and administered a Wide Area Network using TCP/IP.
