Daily Duties at Universtiy Of Nevada, Reno:

-Work on two different grants: Nevada Dual Sensory Impairment Project (NDSIP), which offers assistance to parents and educators of students who have both a hearing and vision impairment and Technology Enhanced Education for Special Education Teachers (TEESET) which is a program that offers online courses that allows Special Education teachers to get their Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education/Early Intervention, Severe Emotional Disabilities, or Severe Multiple Disabilities/Mental Retardation -Assist in the writing and editing of the NDSIP newsletter that is sent out to parents, teachers, and administrators across the state and nation quarterly -Write TEESET newsletter that is sent out to project participants past and present -Research possible technical assistance recommendations for teachers and parents -Track student/teacher progress and implementation of knowledge -Prepare Powerpoint presentations for in-service trainings -Schedule technical assistance visit appointments for project director. -Update current and add new resources to Service Directory for project participants -Coordinate library requests from parents, teachers, and related service providers -Assist in preparation of materials for Graduate level classes -Prepare bulk mailings for teachers and service providers -Create graphs and tables that represent participation in grant services
