Daily Duties at Carteret Housing Authority:
• Accounts Receivable, lease management, scheduled meetings with clients. Interviewed new clients for possible placement on the housing Section 8 program. Preparing, distributing board packets prior to board meetings. Preparing and sending informational bid packages to interested contractors, follow through phone calls to contractors regarding bids. Proficient in Microsoft Office, heavy phone contact with clients and other Borough offices and businesses, heavy correspondence. • Set up, organized and maintained client files, including timely & accurate document filing, special project coordination, including proper follow up and follow though. • Directly supported the Executive Director with updating personal calendar and ensuring that appointments and other commitments were met. • Ensured staff had adequate office resources to perform their duties including the following: Maintain functioning copier machine, stamp machine, and computer systems by managing relationship with technical support providers, purchased office supplies. • Managed and distributed telephone phone messages & mail, arranging conference calls, making some travel arrangements for staff, arranging meeting schedules, performed other related duties as required. • I also helped coordinate the Annual Senior/Family Holiday Program, booked entertainment for this and other events, helped solicit food donations and food preparation from community businesses and from the Mayor of Carteret. Helped organize the Senior Valentine Party, Headed monthly meetings with the seniors to discuss problems, concerns or special events. • Helped organize CPR Training for seniors, and getting various nursing agencies, (Adult Day Care), to speak with the senior residents. I left this position due to medical reasons at the time.
