Daily Duties at Davita Labs:
•Filing denials received from insurance companies. •Contacting insurance companies regarding denials and partial paid claims. •Working and researching patient’s accounts given to Davita’s EBO’s. •Experience working with most insurance companies including Aetna, Kaiser, United, Humana, and the VA. •Experience with CPT and ICD-9 codes, EOB’s, and HCFA forms. •Patient Advocate, which requires working closely with Davita’s accounting department and doing research. •Responsible for maintaining a track record of the medical records that are transported between the patient accounting department and Davita’s warehouse. •Data Entry, Denial letters, and researching refund requests from insurance companies. •Trained on working with the Veteran’s Administration. •Becoming an extended Business Office liaison.
