Daily Duties at Peel Children's Aid Society:

? Provided supports and services for children within a team of six social workers with the following risk factors: psychiatric diagnosis/symptoms, substance abuse, physical aggression, truancy, conflict with the law, running, ethno-cultural, separation/reunification/settlement issues, at risk behaviours within the community, disrupted attachment or familial relationships, parental mental disorder or substance abuse, abuse within the family and limited parenting skills ? Providing a targeted multi-dimensional service to adolescents and families who present with concerns with regarding parent-teen conflict who could benefit from a differential response ? Provide more intensive service that meets the teen and their family’s needs during or immediately following the possible family breakdown to optimize the opportunity for change ? Intervene with families focusing on strengths that exist within the family and involve them in decision making ? Intensively work with families along with Child and Youth Workers and other community partners to improve family supports, decrease conflict within the home ? Provided consultation to other departments ? Provide all case management responsibilities ? Part of Positive Space Committee celebrating PRIDE week at Peel Children’s Aid Soceity
