Daily Duties at United States Navy:
Maintained and repaired the environmental control, seat ejection, canopy jettison, fire suppression, and missile/radar cooling systems of the F-14A and A+ aircraft in accordance with applicable government standards. Performed periodic inspections of critical aircraft components. Performed explosives arm/de-arm activities of the Martine/Baker GRU7A ejection seat. Worked as a flight line trouble shooter to solve various aircraft system problems and inspection of critical flight controls prior to take off. Served aboard the USS Nimitz for 11 months as a flight deck trouble shooter and final checker for fighter squadron VF-211. Served as night shift shop assistant supervisor for 1 year. Served as the shops Personnel Qualifications Standards qualifier for new airmen coming to the squadron. Gave training lectures pertaining to the proper inspection of the Martine/Baker ejection system. Maintained shop inspection records for 12 aircraft.
