Daily Duties at Hobart West Group:

Coordinate the construction and maintenance of the company’s systems (computer hardware, software, cooling, suppression, and power) and plan for future growth. Ensure that the design of the organization’s IT infrastructure allows all of the components (including computers, network, and software) to fit together and work at maximum efficiency. Design, install, and support the company’s local-area network (LAN), wide-area network (WAN), network segments, Internet, and intranet systems. Coordinate each department’s computer needs—ordering, inventory, billing, and payroll recordkeeping, for example—and make suggestions about its technical direction. Designed and implemented live, customer facing image and data repositories and retrieval systems with full redundancy under extremely stringent time lines. Restructured various large data storage solutions for increased redundancy and consolidation while maintaining nearly continuous uptime. Redesigned server facility for system conglomeration, power conservation, increased network pathway redundancy, and cooling efficiency improvements.
