Daily Duties at Verizon Wireless:

• Have sole responsibility for planning and implementing all projects. A high level of workmanship is expected and all costs must stay within the set budget parameters; pprovide financial management support for new construction. • Responsible for setting, managing and keeping to annual budgets, both expenditure and capital. • Responsible for all HQ new construction, operations and maintenance. • Sole responsibility of ensuring UPS and generator are serviced and maintained. • Responsible for managing all space allocation, layout and future space planning. Ensuring that the maximum square footage is utilized without affecting the comfort of the employees and work time. • Day to day operation of the Northeast Area Headquarters and its direct sales offices in Boston and Cranston RI. • Responsible for identifying and managing all preventative maintenance services within the buildings, ensuring optimal operation. • Responsible for managing all vendor operations allocated buildings; including cost and budget management of services using Peoplesoft software. • Manage the security of employees, and HQ building, using on site security officers and CCTV. Making sure that there is minimum disruption to the Verizon Wireless employees. • Responsible for ensuring that the outsourced mail room runs effectively and efficiently, using the best and most appropriate delivery options. • Manage the running and operation of all work service contracts, including decisions on tenders for services. Making sure that quality of service is of the highest standard but with consideration operational parameters. • Monitor and review existing service provisions. Identifying and investigating areas where services and cost efficiency can be improved. • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations so that the employees can carry out their task in a safe environment. • First response to ‘emergency’ situations, flooding, power outage etc.
