Daily Duties at Nationwide:
Responsible for the IT project management of medium IT projects within Desktop Services which included project scope, budget and timelines. Project phases consisted of initiation, planning, design, development, testing, execution, monitoring and control (status, communications, issues/risks, change management and project metrics). Demonstrated vision and expertise relating to the desktop project lifecycle and systems integrations. Repeatedly undertook complex information technology projects from the original conception through to the final implementation ensuring projects aligned with Nationwide IT values, strategy and established project standards. Several years experience managing cross-functional teams. Managed 4 concurrent projects at a time. ? Managed the employee internal PC products with an annual income of over $22 million and over 44,000 PC users; new product development and introduction, rate development, validating and justifying expense allocations, developing and implementing marketing strategies, income forecasting financial analysis, and communications. ? Developed and implemented a PC Total Cost of Ownership worksheet to analyze the PC lifecycle expenses which included these categories – Planning, Procurement, Deployment, Support, Disposal and Asset Management. Developed a draft RFP for these categories. ? Project Manager responsible for creating, publishing and training of 8 enterprise-wide standard PC policies, PC product component descriptions, FAQs including several customer communications to educate users of PC standards, guidelines, and exception processes. This information was published in the rates manual and HR guide. The project scope was implemented and budget was within 3%. ? Project Manager for the Infrastructure Upgrade for the Investments Group. The project took 8 months with an estimated cost of 500K and 25+ team members. Scope implemented, within 3% of budget, and Customer Satisfaction rated a 4 of 5. ? Project Manager responsible for providing requirements /scope and managing the project migration of the PC billing rules from the legacy application to the new application standard. This project took 6 months estimated cost of 17K and 10 team members. Results were Exceeds. ? Developed a standard project management template/iteration process for use in integrating 22 departments into the Helpdesk, Desktop and On-site Services. ? Provided input into the development of a standard small project management methodology, criteria and work products at the Enterprise level. ? Provided project management consultation on various inter-departmental projects including the implementation of the ITIL Service Management and Change Management processes within Desktop Services.
