Daily Duties at Black & Decker :
Trained and Developed Green Belts on the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology throughout 7 Latin American in country operations Initiated and concluded under the 6S umbrella a factory direct shipments and deployment project for our Mexican operation. Identified and mentored on-going transactional Six Sigma projects such as days of sales outstanding (DSO), price differences, cash discounts, and product returns to name a few, which delivered savings to the region's bottom-line. Designed and implemented inventory and purchasing planning programs which resulted in a reduction of US$1.3 million in inventory, inventory turns increased from 3.6 to 5.5 times for a US$42 million business organization Responsible for the total supply chain activity within the northern part of Latin America covering Central America, Ecuador, Venezuela, and the Caribbean. As well as coordinating supply and deployment processes among three warehouse locations in Miami, US. Puerto Rico and Venezuela. Re-engineered order fulfillment to increase service levels, and decrease order shipping cycle, as well as increased inventory accuracy. Direct responsibility over inventory, logistics, warehousing and distribution, in/out bound transportation, and hiring of resources. Lead the development of business area strategies to include common processes, systems and methodologies that will provide consistency across the organization
