Daily Duties at Lightyear Capital:
Responsible for prospecting, deal execution, and portfolio management. •Lead all financial, business, legal and industry due diligence efforts. •Develop financial structures, negotiate term sheets and manage the legal documentation process. •Work closely with portfolio company management teams to develop corporate strategy, execute M&A initiatives, manage capital requirements and determine executive compensation. •Representative transactions include: –$664 MM sale of Collegiate Funding Services to JPMorgan Chase. –$60 MM investment in Flagstone Reinsurance, a 2005 Bermuda-based company formed to underwrite P&C risk. – Manage Lightyear’s investment in NIBC, a leading European merchant bank. –Managed Lightyear’s investment in DeepGreen, an automated mortgage lender specializing in home equity loans.
