As a CSR,I assisted taxpayers,their representatives, and/or third parties with their current or previous tax accounts. I encouraged voluntary compliance with tax laws. Conducted interviews to ascertain taxpayer liability for returns,financial status,potential levy sources,or information necessary to estimate liability. Proceeded in logical manner to secure,verify,and analyze information that would lead to prompt and proper case resolution. Clearly explained complicated or controversial issues and conducted business in a courteous and professional manner,even under duress. Prepared clear written communication,reports, and forms,even in complex and unusual cases. Analyzed all available information and toke corrective actions,including request for credit transfers, recomputed taxes, penalty and interest(including restricted interest) on delinquent accounts. Advised taxpayers of enforcement actions that may be taken if they fail to meet commitments to file their tax return and/or pay tax liabilities, such as Tax Leins, Levys, and SFRs. Received telephone and written inquiries from taxpayers and/or their representatives reporting to the IRS contact, regarding delinquent situations. Assisted taxpayers in preparing tax returns using proper tax forms and other documents, and resolution of account inquiries. Toke necessary actions, e.g. request for adjustment payment tracers, filing amended returns, and refund status. Protected confidentiality of taxpayers information. Commenting and history notating of activity taken on accounts. Used a company handbook and Internal Revenue Manual to assist in appropriating standard and required procedures to proficiently execute accurate information into the taxpayer's account.
