Daily Duties at Washington Mutual Bank:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations, production and personnel administration of the Check Card unit • Manage a team of 30 + banking professionals • Provide clarification and direction to processes and procedures as they relate to banking practices and regulatory compliance requirements for financial institutions • Ensure processing is performed in accordance with internal standards and procedures and is in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements • Ensure staff is meeting production service levels • Coordinate, assign, review and analyze workflow • Provide problem resolution to escalated issues • Determine the best approaches and methodologies for minimizing or mitigating losses • Problem solve operations needs and restructure processes by applying knowledge of business unit operations to the development and maintenance of systems and processes • Point contact for Executive Response Team escalated issues • Proficient in the application of Regulation E for Debit Card disputes and Regulation Z Visa and Master Card chargeback rules • Maintain operational control
