Daily Duties at Mci World Com:
Technical team leader responsible for providing technical support and repairs to the more than 1000 end-users in the Boston and New England area, in the Windows 95/98/NT/2K/XP Workstation Platforms with 4 direct reports. Provide hardware maintenance, repair, and help desk services. Massachusetts’s technical team leader for the following Projects: Migrated 350 users in three sites from a Novell network to a Windows 2k active directory network. Performed decommissioning procedures on three Novell NetWare 4.1 servers. Migrated over 2000 machines from Windows 95/98/NT/2K to Windows XP using CCM from On Technologies. 3 Direct reports. Imaged machines using CCM from On Technologies. Team member to continue the Novell decommissioning process for over 2000 users at three additional sites in the New England area. Improved client and server average down time from just less than 2 days to less then 4 hours. Replaced over 1000 Windows 95/98 computers with new systems running Windows 2000. Supported over 2000 users in multiple locations in the United States and over seas. Solely responsible for providing technical support and repairs at the O’Hare Plaza Building for more than 200 end-users (Inside Sales, Marketing, Video Marketing and Internal Development Departments), in the Windows 95/98/NT/2k Workstation Platforms. Provide hardware maintenance, repair, and help desk services. Project leader for system changes and upgrades; create training platforms. Train and oversee the use of MS Office 97/2k, MS FrontPage 95/2k, MS Outlook 98/2k, MS Visio 95/2k, MS Project 98, MS Internet Explorer 4 and 5, Oracle Based Application Saleslogix, Novell Netware 4 and 5, PC Anywhere 8, 9,and 10, Oracle Developer 2.1, Oracle Designer 2.1, and all new software as needed. Migrated over a 1000 machines from Windows 95/98/NT to Windows 2K Using Zenworks. Imaged machines using first Symantec Ghost and later an imaging machine. Responsible for performing all duties in system upgrades (backing-up data). Project manager for Setup of 75 new Windows 95/98 computers with Saleslogix application in 3 days. Successfully managed all data recovery projects. Technical project manager for MCI, O’Hare Plaza, 1999 - 2003 Received the “Outstanding Achievement” Award, 1999. Received the “Way To Go” Award, 1998.
